| The
kantele is an instrument of great variety in its models. Over the centuries
the Finnish kantele has undergone many radical structural changes. It can,
in terms of evolution and construction, be devided into three main categories:
hollowed kanteles, box kanteles and mechanism (concert) kanteles.
